Sunrisers Hyderabad has relied a lot on Warner with the bat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the ball for the team’s progress — and this will be a good test for the youngsters to make it big. Sunrisers have retained most of their players from them their squad for the IPL 2020.

After winning the IPL in 2016, the Sunrisers have been a consistent team with their performances and have made the playoffs on most occasions. They came back strongly last year after a poor start to the season and reached the knockouts where they succumbed to the Delhi Capitals in qualifier 2.

IPL 2021: 5 Reasons Why Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) Can Win The Title This Year:

5. Depth Added To The Middle Order

Sunrisers Hyderabad realized that their main worry was the inexperienced middle-order which hasn’t clicked in the last IPL. They have added an Indian experienced middle-order batsman in Kedar Jadhav who can play an excellent role as a finisher along with Mitchell Marsh or Jason Holder.

With Kane Williamson at 4, Sunrisers need one Indian batsman from the likes of Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, or Abishek Sharma to get going. Wriddhiman Saha’s form at the top will be crucial for Sunrisers to get their overseas players balance right too.

4. Yorker Specialist T Natarajan

The Tamil Nadu lad T Natarajan was instrumental in Sunrisers reaching the playoffs in the previous season and he led the attack in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar who missed out due to injury. The left-arm seamer was backed by his captain after sitting out in the dug lines for almost two years and proved his worth after coming into the side.

He earned his maiden call up to the Indian T20 squad after an injury to his state-men Varun Chakravarthy and started his international career brilliantly. He made his debut in all the formats in the tour to Australia and his ability to bowl yorkers at will is a great armoury to have for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

3. Return Of Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be happy signs for the Sunrisers Hyderabad who missed the services of the Indian seamer badly. Despite Natrajan coming well, SRH needed a solid company for him at the other end and Bhuvneshwar is one of the best in the business in IPL.

He has won two purple caps back to back in IPL 2016 and 2017 which speaks volumes of the quality he has got. His two overs in the powerplay and in the death overs most often define the results of the team. SRH will be hoping Bhuvneshwar remains fit throughout the tournament.

2. Rashid Khan Factor

Rashid Khan is the number one T20 bowler in the world and the 22-year-old has taken 75 wickets in the 62 IPL games he has played. He has been the main trump card for David Warner and can strangle the batting team in the middle order with his tight lines and pace.

His economic rate is exceptional and the leg spinner has also improved his batting lower down the order. The major threat for any team that plays SRH will be the Rashid Khan factor.

1. David Warner’s Power Hitting

David Warner has been the standout performer for the Sunrisers Hyderabad ever since he has come into the team and has captained the team to their title win in 2016. He definitely knows what it takes to win an IPL and is a stalwart when it comes to IPL.

He is among the overall leading run-scorers in the IPL and averages more than 40 in his IPL career. He has already hit four centuries and Warner has the capability to win games on his own single-handedly
