The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is scheduled to resume from September 19 onwards and will be played in the UAE in venues like Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. With the excitement growing by the minute, former India opener Aakash Chopra predicted which two teams will reach the final of the IPL 2021.

The first half of the IPL 2021 was played in India itself, but after 29 matches were finished, the BCCI was forced to postpone the tournament indefinitely as there was an outbreak of COVID-19 in the camps of multiple franchises with 4 players, 2 coaches, support staff and even ground staff were testing positive for the virus.

Many foreign players opted to go back to their countries amidst the raging second wave of the pandemic peaking in India. The BCCI ensured everyone returned to their countries safely. And after a few months of waiting for everything to settle down, it was decided to move the second half of the tournament to UAE, which had hosted the entire IPL 2020 amidst the first wave of pandemic successfully.

31 matches including the playoffs will be played in September-October in UAE.  And the second phase of the IPL 2021 will commence this Sunday with a blockbuster clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
