Chennai Super Kings will square off against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021 final. The encounter will take place tonight (October 15) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. CSK defeated Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 to reach the final. Now, they need to defeat KKR to clinch the trophy.

3. CSK vs RCB at Wankhede

The CSK’s encounter with Royal Challengers Bangalore during the 1st leg is definitely one of the best matches of IPL 2021. Batting first, CSK posted a mammoth total of 191-4. The beauty of the match was Harshal Patel’s 20th over when Ravindra Jadeja smacked him 36 runs to change the dynamics of the match.

With 62 runs off 28 balls, Jadeja took CSK to a mammoth total. Later, Jadeja also scalped 4 wickets in the match. He picked 1 run-out and 3 other wickets while bowling. With Jadeja’s one-match show, RCB were restricted to just 122-9 and lost the match by 69 runs.

During the UAE leg, CSK faced Mumbai Indians in the opening game. At first, it looked like Mumbai Indians have totally dominated the match. MI bowlers dismissed 3 CSK batsmen for a duck and gave a big blow to CSK’s batting. At one point, CSK railed at 24-4.

However, opener Ruturaj Gaikwad held his wicket and eventually smashed 88 runs off 58 balls to take CSK to 156-6. Later, MI batsmen could not hit big knocks except for Saurabh Tiwary, who hit unbeaten 50 runs. However, MI could only reach 136-8 in the end and lost the match by 20 runs.

1. CSK vs KKR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium

After defeating KKR in the first leg, CSK locked horns with them during the UAE leg in Abu Dhabi. It was also one of the most thrilling matches in IPL 2021. Batting first, KKR smacked a good total of 171-6. Rahul Tripathi hit 45 runs while Nitish Rana responded with an unbeaten 37. Dinesh Karthik also played a quick cameo of 26.

For CSK, openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis hit 40 and 43, respectively. As CSK lost few quick wickets in the middle-order, KKR gained dominance in the match. When CSK needed 26 runs off 12 balls, Ravindra Jadeja stormed 2 sixes and 2 fours in the 19th over of Prasidh Krishna. As a result, CSK finished on the winning side by 2 wickets.
