IPL 2021, Match 50: Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings – Toss Report

For Match 50 of IPL 2021, it’s the clash of the table leaders – the top-placed Chennai Super Kings will take on the second-placed Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Both the teams have acquired 18 points in 12 matches and have qualified for the playoffs. But both of them would want to finish in the top two; a victory on Monday will strengthen that claim as the third positioned team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, have 16 points.

MS Dhoni’s outfit is coming off a defeat against Rajasthan Royals while the Delhi Capitals registered a close victory over Mumbai Indians.

CSK have a dominating head-to-head record over Delhi, claiming victories in 15 matches while losing in 9. Rishabh Pant’s side, however, came out trumps the last time these two teams met – earlier this season in Mumbai.

Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw’s opening stand of 138 runs in 13.3 overs blew away the CSK bowlers. Dhawan scored 85 off 54 balls while Shaw blasted 72 off 38 balls as DC chased down 189 with 7 wickets in hand.
