IPL 2021, Match 51: Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians – Toss Report

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are up against Mumbai Indians (MI) in an all-important Match No. 51 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. The two sides are battling it out for the last remaining spot in the playoffs and a loss for either side will very likely put them out of contention.

The two teams are coming into the game in contrasting fashion. While RR managed to thump Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 7 wickets in Abu Dhabi last Saturday, MI succumbed to a 4-wicket loss against table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC).

History suggests that they are well-matched but based on current form, RR holds the edge. In 26 matches across seasons, MI has won 13 matches while RR has come out victors on 12 occasions.

The defending champions have endured a poor UAE leg of the IPL 2021. They have won just one out of the five matches played here, and are in danger of being knocked out in the group stage. Their Indian contingent will have to fire if they are to have a chance at defending their title.
