We are aware of the abilities of the people we have in our batting line-up – Sanju Samson
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson during the post-match presentation said that they are aware of the abilities of players available in the camp. He stated:
“We are aware of the abilities of the people we have in our batting line-up. That’s why it’s disappointing when we lose. The wicket was behaving really well in the last 3-4 overs, so we knew it’d be much better in the second innings. I am happy I guessed it (pitch getting better in the second dig) right.”
Further, Sanju lavished praise on Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal for playing excellent knocks in the powerplay. He asserted:
“They have been giving good starts, they almost finished off the game in the powerplay. Very happy for Jaiswal, we are very sure he’ll make it big. He keeps on eating (laughs).”
Further, Sanju Samson also told that they were planning to add Shivam Dube to the team for the last two or three games and he signed off by praising Ruturaj Gaikwad for smashing a sensational century. Sanju Samson elaborated:
“We have been discussing about Dube in the last 2-3 games. We thought today might be his day. He has been working hard in the nets. Unbelievable batting by Gaikwad. There’s no risk the way he plays. Very happy he scored a hundred, respect him. We are not thinking too far ahead, one game at a time.”
