IPL 2021: PBKS vs RR- Punjab Kings( PBKS) Predicted Playing XI Against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Punjab Kings will begin their UAE campaign against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday at Dubai International Stadium.
Punjab Kings wouldn’t be too happy with they have fared in the India leg of IPL 2021. They played 8 games over there but could only manage to win 3 out of them. KL Rahul and Co. have only 6 games left in their campaign and they could not afford to start on a losing note.
IPL 2021: PBKS vs RR- Punjab Kings( PBKS) Predicted Playing XI Against Rajasthan Royals (RR)
KL Rahul
KL Rahul was the top-run scorer for Punjab in the first half of IPL 2021. In 7 matches, he scored 331 runs at an average of 66.20. For Punjab to reach the playoffs, KL Rahul needs to continue scoring runs at the top of the order.
Mayank Agarwal
Mayank Agarwal should partner KL Rahul at the top of the order. He gave blistering starts to Punjab while opening the innings for the team. In 7 matches, he has scored 260 runs at an average of 43.33. In Punjab’s last game against Delhi Capitals, Mayank Agarwal scored a blistering 99-run knock off just 58 balls.
Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle is likely to continue at number three in the line-up. His recent form with the bat doesn’t inspire too much optimism. Gayle didn’t take the world by storm in the India leg of the season either. In 8 matches, Chris Gayle has scored 178 runs at an average of 40.24.
Nicholas Pooran
Nicholas Pooran endured a torrid run with the bat in the India leg of IPL 2021. The management gave him a longer run, however, despite that, he just couldn’t get going. In 7 matches, Pooran only managed to score 28 runs at an average of 4.66. Ahead of the UAE leg of IPL 2021, Pooran would be hoping to turn up with good returns.
Deepak Hooda
Deepak Handa began his campaign with a couple of great knocks, however, his form tapered off after that. In 8 matches, he managed to score 116 runs at an average of 19.33. Ahead of the second leg in UAE, Hooda would be keen on making a substantial contribution in the middle order.
Shahrukh Khan
Shahrukh Khan was one of the brightest young stars in IPL 2021. He contributed with vital cameos lower down the order for the team. In all, he scored 107 runs in 8 matches at an average of 21.40.
Chris Jordan
In the absence of Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith, Chris Jordan is likely to be part of the playing XI. He played three matches in the first leg of the tournament and picked 2 wickets at an average of 38.00.
Adil Rashid
Adil Rashid has been included in the squad for the second leg of IPL 2021. On the slow and sluggish tracks of UAE, the English leg-spinner is likely to play a key role for the franchise. He is likely to make his IPL debut against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday.
Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami picked the most number of wickets for Punjab in the first leg. He took 8 wickets in 8 balls, however, in hindsight, he would be disappointed with the way he bowled.
