IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals Announce Jos Buttler & Ben Stokes' Replacements For UAE Leg

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) were hit the most by withdrawals of players and injuries to their overseas players and have closed their replacement quota by adding Evin Lewis and Oshane Thomas to their roster for the second half of IPL 2021.

Rajasthan Royals were already without the likes of Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes due to injury, while Andrew Tye, Liam Livingstone, and others pulled out of the first half of IPL 2021 due to COVID concerns and while Tye has been replaced, there is doubt on Livingstone’s availability for the UAE leg after he suffered an injury.

RR will also miss the services of opener-keeper Jos Buttler, who scored a brilliant century in the India leg of IPL 2021. Buttler has opted out of the second half of IPL 2021 for the birth of his second child, and will also miss the fourth Test match against India at the Oval for the same reason.
