Rajasthan Royals re-signed Liam Livingstone in the IPL 2021 auction for INR 75 lakhs. The 27-year old was part of the Royals in 2019 when he opened the innings for them on multiple occasions. He managed 70 runs in four matches, maintaining a healthy strike rate of 145.83. The inaugural IPL champions are yet to announce his replacement. As for Rajasthan’s performance in the current edition, they have lost two of their three games and are under reasonable pressure to bounce back. They suffered a stunning collapse in their last game against the Chennai Super Kings and were beaten by 45 runs.

Rajasthan Royals took to their official Twitter handle and confirmed the news, stating that Livingstone flew back home last night due to bio-bubble fatigue. The franchise respected his decision and vowed to support him the best way they could.
