In a highly encouraging piece of news for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, all-rounder Daniel Sams has recovered from the COVID-19 disease and joined the team’s bio-bubble. Daniel Sams tested positive for the deadly virus two days before the start of the tournament. The left-arm seamer’s test report came out negative at the team hotel in Chennai; however, in his second Test, it emerged as positive.

Daniel Sams was the second player from the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp to test positive for the COVID-19 disease. Earlier, opener Devdutt Padikkal suffered the same fate; however, he has recovered and featured in the team’s second match against the SunRisers Hyderabad. Sams was part of the Delhi Capitals last year and got traded along with Harshal Patel to the Royal Challengers. He has played only once in IPL; however, the 28-year had a promising season with the Sydney Thunder in the 2020-21 Big Bash League.
