Chennai Super Kings’ players Suresh Raina and Cheteshwar Pujara have their preparations for IPL 2021 full-fledged. Chennai Super Kings will open their IPL 2021 campaign against the Delhi Capitals on the 10th of April. Suresh Raina has been training in Ghaziabad and will soon join captain MS Dhoni and the rest at their camp in Chennai.

Suresh Raina could not participate in IPL 2020 in the UAE due to personal reasons. Understandably, the yellow army faced problems in the batting department in the absence of one of their most experienced batsman. The prolific left-hander is one of the veteran players in their camp, a run-machine and the Super Kings’ vice-captain. The 13th season turned out to be the first in which Chennai did not reach the playoffs, finishing seventh.

Suresh Raina took to his official Twitter handle and shared a clip of his workout routine and captioned it as “Last session before joining the team! All geared up for IPL. Can’t wait!” Raina has featured in 193 IPL matches, scoring 5368 runs at 33.34 alongside a strike rate of 137.11. The retired international cricketer has 38 fifties and a hundred as well.

Meanwhile, batsman Cheteshwar Pujara also hit the nets ahead of joining the Super Kings’ camp. The right-handed batsman managed to bag an IPL contract for the first time since 2014. Pujara, who is known for his inability to maintain the high strike rates required for the T20 format, has not been on the IPL teams’ radar for quite a few years now. Nevertheless, the Super Kings roped the Saurashtra batsman for INR 50 lakhs.
