The opening duo of Punjab Kings (PBKS) completed the 100 runs partnership in no time. Also during the process, KL Rahul became the fastest Indian batter in the history of the tournament to score 3000 IPL runs. However, unfortunately, the Punjab Kings skipper was dismissed at the score of 49. Also just after that set batter Mayank Agarwal got out at 67.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran who had a bizarre outing in the first phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 and Punjab’s new recruit Aiden Markram took the responsibility. Both the batters batted exceptionally well and added 50 runs together in no time. However, they failed to lead towards tue victory.

Earlier in the match, Punjab Kings  won the toss and they decided to field first. However, the decision didn’t turn out to be a good one for the team as they leaked a lot of runs. Rajasthan Royals opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis had an amazing outing as they added 54 runs. Arshdeep Singh was able to stop the carnage as he dismissed Evin Lewis in the 6th over at the score of 36.

Meanwhile, soon after the dismissal of Evin Lewis, the skipper of Rajasthan Royals (RR) Sanju Samson was also sent back to the pavilion by Ishan Porel.

Meanwhile, after that Liam Livingstone played a decent knock and Yashasvi Jaiswal showed class. However, they too got out. Notably, Jaiswal missed his well-deserving fifty by the margin of one run. With the help of the exceptional power-hitting of Mahipal Lomror, Rajasthan Royals (RR) posted 185 runs on the board. Notably, the Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh was the best bowler from the side and he managed to bag a 5-wicket haul
