The RCB skipper Virat Kohli was very delighted with the performance of leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 and explained his progress. Chahal was left out of the Indian squad for the T20 Worldcup 2021 and he wasn’t named in the reserves as well owing to his poor form in the last six months.

Even in phase one of IPL 2021 in India, Chahal could pick up just 4 wickets in 7 games at a high bowling average and never looked in a good rhythm. He started to get better in the series against Sri Lanka and has been a revelation since the start of the UAE phase of IPL 2021.

Virat Kohli Hails Yuzvendra Chahal’s Recent Performances

Virat Kohli after the loss to SRH in the post-match conference mentioned that Chahal’s form in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 is a big positive for RCB and India moving forward. He added that Chahal has found his rhythm back and is back at his best being very effective for the side. Chahal has picked up 11 wickets in 6 games in UAE already with an excellent economy rate.

“Chahal’s bowling pretty well now. It looks like he has worked on his bowling with all the time off. He’s back to bowling the way we know he can bowl. His bowling well is a good sign for the team, and we hope he can continue to do so. He has truly been magnificent with the ball,” Virat Kohli said.

RCB Loses Close Encounter Against SRH

The Royal Challengers Bangalore succumbed to their fifth loss in the IPL 2021 against the Surnisers Hyderabad yesterday and it wasn’t a good sign for them moving into the playoffs. They had the chance to finish in the top two if they had won yesterday but failed to do so by just 4 runs in the end.
