Mystery Spinner Sunil Narine castled inform Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Shreyas Iyer in the 41st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, September 28.
Shreyas Iyer came to bat after opener Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket against Lockie Ferguson. Notably, Shikhar Dhawan managed to score 24 runs off 20 balls.
Meanwhile, Sunil Narine came to bowl his first over of the match in the 7th over and in the second ball itself, he sent back the star DC batsman. The wicket was a classic offspinner’s wicket.
The ball pitched just outside off stump and turned back in to hit the off stump. Shreyas Iyer was undecided whether to play off the front or the back foot and he remained in his crease which resulted in the ball going through the gap between bat and pad.
Notably, Iyer was able to score only 1 run from 5 balls which is his worst performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made notable changes in playing XI
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the toss and they opted to field first. Meanwhile, both the captains were happy with this decision as Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant told at the toss that they were anyways looking to bat first.
Team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made a couple of changes in the team as fast bowler Sandeep Warrier replaced Prasidh Krishna and Tim Southee came in as a replacement for Andre Russell.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals (DC) also made one forced change in the team. Opener, Prithvi Shaw suffered an injury and Australian Steve Smith was added to the playing XI. Notably, Steve Smith even opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan and had a decent outing.
