Afghanistan player Rashid Khan said he will be looking at every Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) every game as his last match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a dismal start to their season as they are on the bottom of the points table, having won just one game against Punjab Kings.
I have been working on my batting for one and a half years: Rashid Khan
For Sunrisers Hyderabad, the chances to qualify for the playoffs are very lean as they will have to win all of their remaining matches.
Rashid said that he has been working on his batting as he can add some important runs for the team in the death overs.
“From one and a half years, I have been working on my batting as last 15-25 runs are very crucial for the side. So just trying my best to do different things, haven’t practised a lot of shots in the nets but I’m just focusing on having the right mindset,” Rashid said in a video posted on SRH’s Twitter handle.

“Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season, yeah we didn’t have the ideal start in the first half of the tournament but looking forward to finish up well and treat every game as a final and give my 100 per cent,” he added.
Just need to find out the good areas on the wicket: Rashid Khan
Rashid has picked 10 wickets from seven games in IPL 2021 so far and he is familiarity with UAE conditions will benefit the team in the second leg.
“We have played enough games in UAE’s conditions and just need to find out the good areas on the wicket,” Rashid said.
Just before the IPL got suspended, Sunrisers Hyderbad saw a leadership change as New Zealand captain Kane Williamson took over the reins from David Warner after a poor start.
Williamson had guided the franchise to IPL final in 2018 where they eventually lost to Chennai Super Kings. SRH will resume their campaign against Delhi Capitals on September 22.
