MI vs PBKS: Punjab Kings (PBKS) Predicted Playing XI Against Mumbai Indians (MI)- IPL 2021 Match 42. After winning their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 runs, Kings XI Punjab have moved up to number five position on the points table in IPL 2021. In 10 games, they have managed to secure four wins and every match from here would be a must-win for them.

Four consecutive wins from here would potential seal their playoff berth. However, the important thing for them right now is to beat Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.

Punjab Kings would be riding high on confidence after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 runs in their last game. Despite posting a below-par total, they managed to win the game, thanks to outstanding performances from the bowlers. Ahead of an important game against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, we look at their predicted playing XI.

Openers: KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal

Punjab Kings’ opening duo of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal should open the batting on Tuesday. The duo has been in exemplary form with the bat, scoring runs consistently for the franchise. On a rare occasion, both of them got out cheaply in the last game. Expect them to come back stronger on Tuesday. KL Rahul is the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament, while Mayank sits sixth on the list.

Middle-Order: Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram

Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram will form Punjab’s middle-order. Given their recent form, this isn’t a strong middle-order. However, they certainly have the ability to wreak havoc if gets an eye in. Aiden Markram though has been amongst the runs and is expected to play a big role in this batting line-up.

All-rounders: Shahrukh Khan and Harpreet Brar

With Deepak Hooda not being amongst the runs, Punjab might replace him with Shahrukh Khan for the game on Tuesday. Khan played a few good knocks in the India leg of the tournament and Punjab should put some faith in him. Harpreet Brar continues to be a great asset for the side. He has been effective with the ball and also has the ability to hit big shots lower down the order.

Bowlers: Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis and Mohammed Shami

Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami have been brilliant for Punjab this season. The duo has been bowling well both in the powerplay as well as in the death overs. They are likely to be the biggest threat for Mumbai in the bowling department. Both of them has 13 wickets each in the tournament.

Ravi Bishn0i replaced Adil Rashid in the last game and he repaid the faith with crucial wickets in the match. He finished the game with match figures of 3 for 24 in 4 overs. Nathan Ellis played as the third seamer in the last game. He bowled the last over of the game with 16 needed in 6 deliveries. Ellis held his nerves to win the game for the side by 5 runs. He should retain his place in the side.
