Hardik Pandya’s Progress In Focus- Reports
The Source had informed about Rohit and the players selected from Mumbai Indians arriving at the hotel room for India. The source reported that there will be a huge focus on all-rounder Hardik Pandya who has struggled for runs in this IPL as well in recent times the country. He isn’t bowling either, making the balance look incomplete.
“Rohit and boys are coming in today. It would obviously be in focus how Hardik is progressing, and that is no rocket science. But he should be good to go for the showpiece event,” a source said to ANI.
Hardik Pandya’s Finisher Call To Be Taken By MS Dhoni
Hardik Pandya is one of the few players in the squad who played in the previous T20 World Cup, and he has some experience under his belt. The source had mentioned MS Dhoni, who is the mentor for the Virat Kohli-led side in the T20 World Cup, to be among the decision-makers on Hardik’s role.
“Well, that call obviously needs to be taken by the team management, and with MS Dhoni coming in as a mentor, you do know the best call will be taken. But yes, you must realise the lack of big-match experience in the Indian middle order, especially when it comes to handling high-voltage clashes like India-Pakistan,” the source added.
Hardik Pandya’s bowling will be very crucial to the plans as he can be instrumental with his variations.
