RCB vs KKR Match Preview- IPL 2021 Eliminator. The Eliminator match of IPL 2021 is slated to be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday. Royal Challengers Bangalore finished at the third spot, while KKR finished at the fourth position after the end of the league stage matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders have made a scintillating comeback in IPL 2021 after enduring a forgettable outing in the first half of the tournament. It all began with the inclusion of Venkatesh Iyer as an opener in the squad. The all-rounder impressed one and all with his very first innings.

Shubman Gill too played with an aggressive style of play and it has worked out pretty well. Gill is, in fact, coming into the game on the back of two consecutive half-centuries. He will be the player to watch out for on Monday. Number three and four, Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi have ensured that KKR capitalizes on the starts provided by the openers.

Dinesh Karthik played two good-looking cameos in his last two games, while Morgan also scored an unbeaten 13 off 11 balls in the last game. KKR’s batting unit is looking sublime at the moment. On a slow pitch at Sharjah, you need the batsmen to be in form to post a winning score and KKR are coming into the game with just that form.

The last match also saw Lockie Ferguson making his comeback from injury. He picked three wickets for just 18 runs in his quota of four overs. He will be bowling on the same track on Tuesday and RCB need to be wary of that. Shivam Mavi (4 for 21 in the last game) too has been doing an outstanding job with the ball, while the spinners have kept the batsmen guessing with their array of variations. KKR at the moment are sorted in all departments and look like favourites to win the game.

There is no official update on Andre Russell’s availability as of now. Shakib Al Hasan is likely to be persisted if the former doesn’t get to fit to play the game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, have dished out consistent performances this season. They pulled off an unlikely win against Delhi Capitals in the last game, thanks to an outstanding partnership between Glenn Maxwell and Srikar Bharat. Maxwell will once again be the biggest bet for RCB in the knockout game on Tuesday.

You can’t expect someone like Srikar Bharat to deliver, once again, in a high-pressure game. For that, the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers need to step up. Sadly, all are going through a rough patch of late. And, given the kind of bowling attack KKR have and the pitch at Sharjah, RCB might falter with the bat.

Their biggest strength lies in bowling and that is why RCB should think to win the toss and bat first. Harshal Patel has 30 wickets to his name and he should bowl well on Tuesday. He will be supported by the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj and Shahbaz, all of whom are in good form.

Looking at the overall team composition, RCB needs to play really well to win the game against KKR on Tuesday.
