One of the biggest stories of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has to be the removal of David Warner from the captaincy and eventually getting dropped from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing XI.

David Warner has been one of the most consistent batsmen in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It will be safe to say that Warner had more impact on team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) than any other batter ever played for the franchise.

It looks like Warner is done with the Orange Army, and he will be getting released from the squad ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, which will witness the addition of two new teams in the cash-rich league. However, it is expected that despite having a poor run in the 14th edition of IPL, David Warner should still attract a big amount for himself in the mega auction.

A report by Fox Sports.com.au claims that several franchises have already started approaching the Australian star opener ahead of the IPL 2022 and are looking forward to adding him to the team. It is also being reported that franchises have been shocked by SRH’s treatment of Warner in the IPL.

The same reports also assert the Director of Cricket for the Indian Premier League team Sunrisers Hyderabad Tom Moody’s aspirations to become Team India’s coach after Ravi Shastri’s exit from the team after the T20 World Cup 2021.

thank You for the memories created. To all the fans, you have been a driving force for our team always to give 100%. I can’t thank you all enough for the support shown. It’s been a great ride. My family and I are going to miss you all!!”

David Warner had a forgettable run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, as he scored only 195 runs at a strike rate of 107 in eight games.
