Suresh Raina Wants To Be A Bollywood Star After IPL 2021

Suresh Raina has been a busy bee after his retirement from international cricket. He called time on his India career on August 15, 2020, the same day his best friend MS Dhoni also retired from the international format of the game. However, Raina’s retirement was a bit of a shock given that he is just 34 years old and had a chance to come back into the Indian team.
He represented India in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20I matches and made 768, 5615, and 1605 runs respectively with a cumulative of 7 centuries to his name. He was the first Indian to a century in Test, ODI, and T20I format. He also picked 62 wickets with his off-spin and was part of India’s 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy wins.
He has, however, been active in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is currently playing in the IPL 2021 edition for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
After IPL Sure: Suresh Raina On Joining Bollywood
Suresh Raina and Bollywood are not that distant as one believes. The left-handed batsman is an avid movie watcher and is an excellent singer as well. He has also sung a song in a Bollywood movie. He has sung “Tu Mila Sab Mila” for Meeruthiya Gangsters which came out in 2015.
Recently, he was seen in an advert for a smart home system, which Raina shared on his Twitter account and announced a contest as well which included a call from the cricketer and many prizes. A fan quoted the tweet and praised his expressions and called him an amazing actor. He also said that he should target Bollywood next.
Suresh Raina replied to the fan and said that sure after the IPL, he will do so.

Suresh Raina is known as Mr. IPL having joined the tournament in 2008 playing for Chennai Super Kings from 2008-2015 and then captaining Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 and 2017, before rejoining the yellow brigade in IPL 2018.
There was some controversy after it was reported that Suresh Raina came back from UAE before the IPL 2020 started because he was unhappy on been given a hotel room not similar to captain MS Dhoni. The cricketer cited personal reasons for leaving UAE, as 13 CSK players and officials had contracted the virus and he was concerned about his family back home.
Raina has played 196 matches in IPL to date and made 5448 runs at an average of 33.21 and strike-rate of 137.09 with 1 century and 39 half-centuries. He has hit 199 sixes and 498 fours in the league and has 25 wickets to his name as well.
