Earlier this year during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 the South African batsman Faf du Plessis was taken to a hospital in Abu Dhabi after a nasty collision with Quetta Gladiators teammate Mohammad Hasnain.

However, this time things looked nasty but were not very serious as both the players stood up and were seen playing the match.

Notably, the incident occurred in the 6th over of the match when du Plessis hit the stroke and while completing the run he bumped into the Mustafizur who was looking the other side and took him down. Meanwhile, in the very next over Du Plessis also lost his wicket.

Chennai Super Kings also made a couple of changes as they bought KM Asif and Sam Curran for Deepak Chahar and Dwyane Bravo.

Just like several other games, the Chennai Super Kings opening duo of Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad provided an excellent start. They managed to add 47 runs before Rahul Tewatia dismissed Faf du Plessis. Meanwhile, one of the most successful IPL player Suresh Raina’s poor form continued despite batting at number 3, as he was able to score only 3 runs.

Meanwhile, Moeen Ali also got out after playing few good strokes. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad looked strong out in middle. At the time of writing Chennai Super Kings are at 117/3.
