Not many players in the world have staggering batting records like Virat Kohli and it is very special that he has stayed in RCB from the initial edition of IPL in 2008. He has won a lot of hearts worldwide and one of the reasons for it has been his loyalty. He decided to step down as RCB captain after the ongoing IPL edition and will continue to wear the RCB colours anyhow.

RCB’s campaign in IPL 2021 came to an end in the eliminator against KKR where they were outplayed completely by the opponent. They still will be searching for their maiden IPL title in the upcoming editions without the leadership of Virat Kohli which is a strange moment. He has served the franchise tremendously including his unforgettable season in 2016 where he scored 973 runs.
