Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Devon Conway opened up about his knock in the 41st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Punjab Kings (PBKS). He said that he wasn’t batting for his hundred and was batting for the team.

Devon Conway played a magnificent knock in the ongoing IPL 2023 game against PBKS. The southpaw continued his purple patch in the league and helped his side post a mammoth target of 200 runs on the board.

While opening the innings, Devon Conway came out all guns blazing and made PBKS bowlers dance to their tunes. He carried his bat throughout the innings and remained unbeaten at the end of the innings.

Conway played a sensational knock of 92 runs in 52 balls and made sure that his side are on top of the game. He batted with a strike rate of 176.92 and smashed 16 fours and 1 six that helped CSK reach the 200-run mark.

Devon Conway said that he wants to be clear and nice about his batting. He also spoke about not reaching a hundred and said that the atmosphere was crazy when MS Dhoni came out to bat.

“Good wicket. It was a little bit slow at the beginning when the bowlers hit the hard length. You have to be nice and clear whenever you go into bat. Absolutely (on batting for the team and not for the 100). It was a great atmosphere when it (Dhoni’s two sixes) went out of the park.”
