The 41st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 took place between MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Chepauk Stadium. It was a cliffhanger that went down the wire and saw the visitors clinching the game on the last ball.
It’s fair to say that when MS Dhoni is playing, one cannot take his eyes off him and all the attention was towards him in the game. He made the crowd go gaga with his brutal power hitting in the end as he scored two massive sixes to take his team to 200 runs.

MS Dhoni did a brilliant glovework to grab the ball but he fell down while catching it. He, however, then looked in discomfort and struggled to get up.

CSK vs PBKS: “We bowled two bad overs,” MS Dhoni after CSK’s loss to PBKS
While chasing the target, Punjab Kings came out all guns blazing and played aggressively right from the ball 1. Despite wickets falling, they continued taking on the bowlers and chased the target on the last ball of the innings.
MS Dhoni feels that two bad overs in the middle cost them. He said that they need to be prepared and see what is the problem. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:
“We need to be prepared as to what is to be done. The last few overs when we were batting, we could have gotten 10-15 more. Our bowling needed some cushion. The slower one did grip. Our batters have been putting runs consistently. I think 200 was par but we bowled two bad overs. We know the conditions well. We didn’t bowl well. You didn’t want to get hit to that side. You need to see what is the problem.”
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be next seen in action when they will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their next game on Wednesday (3rd May).
