Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had won the toss & opted to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). SRH had a decent power-play as they scored 45 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Ravindra Jadeja got 2 key wickets of Abhishek Sharma & Rahul Tripathi and bowled immaculate lines & lengths. Ravindra Jadeja‘s decision to go around the wicket worked well.

It seemed as if there was no proper communication between SRH’s batters in running between the wickets. Akash Singh, the left-arm pacer had taken the wicket of Harry Brook. MS Dhoni’s tactics were quite commendable as he didn’t allow the batters to rotate the strike consistently.

It won’t be wrong to say that the shot selection of Abhishek Sharma & Rahul Tripathi was quite questionable given the fact that spinners were getting ample assistance from the surface. SRH surprisingly made Mayank Agarwal bat in the middle order.

At the end of 13 overs, SRH’s score was 91-4. Ravindra Jadeja was bowling the 14th over, on the very first delivery Mayank Agarwal played a shot towards Ravindra Jadeja and Jadeja tried to catch the ball. However, Klaasen, who was on the non-striker’s end, didn’t move away and Jadeja couldn’t take the catch, which led to the spinner being furious.

On the 5th delivery of the over, Mayank Agarwal stepped down the track but missed the ball completely as MS Dhoni dislodged the bails quickly. After taking the wicket, Ravindra Jadeja gave a death stare to Heinrich Klaasen and the players exchanged a few words. Mayank Agrawal was dismissed on 2 runs in 4 balls as that time SRH’s score was 95-5 in 13.5 overs.

SRH in deep trouble

SRH fans now would be hoping that the team posts a score around 150 which would give them some sort of chance in the match. All eyes would be on Washington Sundar, the left-handed batter will have to play a breezy cameo and stay till the end of the innings.

The likes of Tushar Deshpande would be tested in the death overs as he has conceded 18 runs in his first 2 overs. MS Dhoni would be aware of the fact that they can’t take Klaasen lightly as his wicket would be quite decisive and at the same time we have seen low run chases often get tricky.
