In a stunning display of batting prowess, the Gujarat Titans (GT) posted their highest total in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in their match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) today.

Playing in front of a raucous home crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bat first. From the outset, the GT openers showed intent, smashing boundaries at will and putting the LSG bowlers under immense pressure.

Opener Wriddhiman Saha got the ball rolling with a flurry of boundaries, quickly racing to 50 off just 20 balls. He was ably supported by his opening partner Shubman Gill, who played the perfect foil to Saha’s aggression. Together, they put on a mammoth 142-run partnership, the highest for any wicket in GT’s IPL history.

LSG tried everything in their arsenal to stop the flow of runs, but it was to no avail. Even the introduction of their best bowler, Ravi Bishnoi, failed to put a dent in the GT batting lineup. Saha eventually fell for a magnificent 81 off just 43 balls, but the damage had already been done.
