After being asked to bat first by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Gujarat Titans (GT) posted a huge score of 227-2. Kyle Mayers & Quinton de Kock made sure that they make the most of the power-play overs as LSG scored 72 runs for the loss of no wicket. Kyle Mayers was seen striking the ball cleanly.

Earlier in the match, it was the domination of GT’s openers Wriddhiman Saha & Shubman Gill. Saha looked in complete control as he struck a destructive knock of 81 runs in 43 balls as he struck 10 fours and 4 sixes. Shubman Gill was seen playing the role of anchor but during the last 10 overs, he took on the LSG’s bowling unit and scored an unbeaten knock of 94 runs in 51 balls and struck 7 huge sixes and 2 fours.

LSG’s skipper Krunal Pandya looked clueless against the sheer hitting ability of Saha & Gill. Perhaps, LSG missed the services of the right-arm pacer Naveen-ul-Haq (*rested) who could have foxed the batters with his variations.

Exciting Contest on Cards

LSG’s fans would be hoping that Deepak Hooda plays an attacking brand of cricket as the required run rate is close to 13 runs. All eyes would be on Quinton de Kock as the batter needs to bat deep and gets a massive score in this crunch match.

GT on the other side would sense that they can pull things back. The spin duo of Rashid Khan & Noor Ahmad would be tested in these batting-friendly conditions. Hardik Pandya would consider bringing himself for an over as the wicket of Quinton de Kock would be decisive.
