IPL 2023 Auction: 3 England Players Who Will Cause A Bidding War Based on T20 World Cup 2022 Performance
Sam Curran

Sam Curran is proving himself as England’s key man at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. Curran had missed out on last year’s World Cup in the UAE with a lower-back injury and became a commentator. In the 2022 edition, against Afghanistan, he became the first English men’s player to take a T20 international five-wicket haul. Curran’s been especially good at the death, picking up seven wickets in three matches at an economy of less than 5 and an average of just 3.14.
Overall he has nine wickets at an economy rate of 6.28. His yorkers, slower deliveries, and bouncers make him a valuable asset in Indian conditions. With the bat, his ability to clear the boundary from ball one raises his stakes further, and thus is the top player on the list.
Ben Stokes

Another England all-rounder who will be on the teams’ radar is Ben Stokes. He’s one of the premier all-rounders in the world, and even though he hadn’t played short format matches this year, England included Stokes in their T20 World Cup squad knowing his pedigree to turn around games with either bat or ball.
While Ben Stokes has failed to make it count with the willow, he has picked up four wickets so far in three games. In his first-ever IPL season back in 2017, Stokes was the Player of the Tournament, having helped the Rising Pune Supergiant through to the final, and any team who will want his services will have to break the bank.
