During the retention window, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released five players while keeping up to 18. The team advanced to the IPL 2022 final four and placed fourth overall with 8 wins and 6 losses.

With the 16th season of the lucrative T20 event approaching, IPL franchisees have moved. Teams have let go of players who were not in their future plans in an effort to rebuild their squads. The majority of the releases followed predicted patterns, but the fans were in shock when big-name athletes were fired.

Many of the players on the list of those who have been publicly revealed are known short-format performers, and some of them are anticipated to be in great demand during the IPL 2023 auction. There are others, though, that might not pique the franchisees’ attention and end up unsold at the future auction.

Let’s have a look at the 3 Players Released By Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Who Might Go Unsold In The Auction.

Aneeshwar Gautam was able to join the Indian U19 team thanks to his strong showings in U19 domestic circuit competitions including the Vinoo Mankad Trophy and Challenger Trophy.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore team selected the all-rounder for his base price in the IPL 2022 Auction due to his impressive performances on the domestic circuit.

However, the youngster failed to get even a single game during the 2022 season of the IPL and things are not looking good for him as the auction gets near.

Luvnith Sisodia

The cricketing world took notice when Luvnith Sisodia became the first player to hit a triple hundred in a challenging 50-over competition. Luvnith Sisodia achieved a performance that is hardly equaled in any version of the game when he scored 312 off just 129 balls, including 26 sixes.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore picked him for his base price of 20L in the IPL 2022 Auction. He failed to get any match time in the last season of IPL and was replaced by Rajat Patidar after he got injured.

Sherfane Rutherford

Sherfane Rutherford is renowned for his power in the hitting zone. While representing Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League in 2018, he attracted attention for his all-around skills. He has since participated in a number of T20 leagues around the globe and even made his international debut for the men in maroon.

The Caribbean all-rounder was bought for 1 Cr in the 2022 IPL Auction by the Royal Challengers Bangalore but failed to get much game time ahead of Glenn Maxwell. His high base price can be a cause of worry as the teams might not be looking to spend big on a bench player.
