Chris Lynn will play both his home Big Bash League (BBL) and in the new Twenty20 cricket league in the United Arab Emirates ILT20 early next year after signing a groundbreaking part-season deal with the Adelaide Strikers.

Chris Lynn was let go by the Brisbane Heat, having made just 215 runs last season at an average of 17.9, and the power-hitter is out to prove a point when he heads south.

He is the highest run-getter in the BBL and one who has performed consistently for KKR during the time that he played. Chris Lynn scored 1274 runs in 40 matches that he has played for KKR in the past. This includes 10 fifties scored at a strike rate of over 140.  Chris Lynn will form a destructive opening partnership with Rahmanullah Gurbaz for Kolkata. 

2. Mumbai Indians (MI)

Mumbai Indians can opt to pick Chris Lynn in the IPL auction 2023. The franchise also picked the Australian batter in their squad in the IPL 2021 season. They might again go after the Aussie opener in IPL 2023.

The right-handed batter has kept a base price of INR 2 crores for himself in IPL 2023. Chris Lynn played 1 match in IPL 2021 in which he scored 21 runs. Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Chris Lynn will form a destructive top order for Mumbai.

3. Royal Challengers Bangalore

Chris Lynn has spoiled the party for the Royal Challengers Bangalore quite a few times in the IPL. With his effortless hitting, Chris Lynn could be the perfect foil for Virat Kohli, who has the knack of keeping the scoreboard ticking. So, RCB may target him at the IPL 2023 mini-auction. He can open with the likes of skipper Faf du Plessis, keeper Finn Allen or Virat Kohli himself.
