Let’s Have a look at the five youngest players from the 2023 IPL mini-auction:
IPL 2023 Auction: 5 Youngest Players Who Will Be A Part Of The Mini Auction
Dinesh Bana- 18 years 91 days
The wicketkeeper-batsman entered his name in the mini-auction and helped the India U19 team win the championship. Dinesh was scheduled to participate in the IPL 2022 mega-auction, however, he was unable to meet the requirement of having participated in at least one First-Class or List A game.
The batter, who played for Haryana in the SMAT, has, in any event, gained some respectable experience playing in the shortest format. In the same competition, he had his greatest innings against Jammu & Kashmir, scoring 43 runs, including five fours and a maximum.
In order to see his fate, the keeper-batter will be linked up to the auction. No matter how the auction turns out, Dinesh is going to be this year’s second-youngest participant in the mini-auction.
Shaik Rasheed- 18 years 81 days
When the cricketer from Andhra Pradesh was selected as the backup for the ICC Men’s India U19 World Cup 2022 team, he attracted considerable notice. Rasheed was also a member of the group that won the ACC U19 Asia Cup in 2021.
In addition, he was essential to the Asian competition’s semifinal when he defeated Bangladesh with a pivotal knock of 90* off 108 deliveries. In the summit match, he contributed a match-winning 31* run innings that helped the team win the championship.
Although Rasheed’s recent Vijay Hazare Trophy games didn’t go well, the young hitter has often proven his ability to score crucial runs for his team with the U19 squad. Young Rasheed will undoubtedly enjoy going up for auction in the next sale, but it will be fascinating to see whether any organizations make an offer for the player.
Kumar Kushagra- 18 years 53 days
At 17 years and 141 days old, Kumar Kushagra made history earlier this year when he became the youngest hitter in first-class cricket to hit a score of 250 or more. In just seven First Class innings, the wicketkeeper-batter has racked up a staggering 439 runs at an impressive average of 62.71.
Young Kushagra had scores of 74, 55, 49, an unbroken 41 runs, and one in which he was unable to enter the field in his previous five games, all of which were in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
His performances in the shortest format, however, have fallen short of the batter’s potential. He could only manage to score 21 runs for the Jharkhand team in his two T20 innings this year. In any event, the IPL may provide the young player with a stage on which to display his skill, however, it may be difficult for franchises to be enticed by the idea of fielding him.
Sakib Hussain- 18 years 3 days
The 18-year-old boy from Bihar who competed in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) this year has made his name available in the next mini-auction. Sakib participated in two SMAT games this year and bowled quite well against Gujarat, with bowling stats of 4/20.
The medium pacer may bring length and speed adjustments, which can aid his team make the breakthroughs. The bowler might be a fascinating addition to any team because of his knowledge of the T20 format.
Sakib may not make a lot of money in the IPL auction, which is scheduled to take place next week on the 23rd, but he definitely has that spark that might make the franchises consider hiring him.
Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar- 15 years 152 days
Allah Mohammad, who is 15 years old, is the youngest player to be offered in the IPL auction. The young player has established a basic salary of INR 20 lakh for clubs interested in hiring him before the upcoming season.
Ghazanfar, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, is an Afghan native from the Zurmat region of the Paktia province.
The off-spinner had already signed up for the Big Bash League, but he had little luck getting teams to keep him on the sidelines.
He has participated in three games in Afghanistan’s Shpageeza Cricket League. Ghazanfar recorded five wickets during the games, with his best bowling stats coming when playing for the Mis Ainak Knights (4/15). Even while getting his name on the IPL auction list is a significant accomplishment, there is a chance that the teams will take him under their wing and develop him into one of the best players, similar to his fellow countryman Rashid Khan.
