Several talented youngsters will be brought up at the auction table and CSK would want to buy some to strengthen their squad as they’d want to push for one more title in what is most likely to be MS Dhoni’s last IPL season.

The likes of Chris Jordan, Adam Milne, Narayan Jagadeesan, Hari Nishaanth, Bhagath Varma, KM Asif, Dwayne Bravo, and Robin Uthappa (retired) have been released by Chennai Super Kings.

Ravindra Jadeja and his rumored rift with Chennai Super Kings had earlier raised eyebrows on the all-rounder’s inclusion in the team for IPL 2023. However, according to reports, CSK has refused to trade Ravindra Jadeja with a couple of teams.

The star all-rounder played with the franchise for many years and was retained for Rs 16 crore in the 15th edition of IPL 2022. From being criticized for his captaincy and poor performance with the bat to stepping down as the skipper, Ravindra Jadeja was in the news for the wrong reasons in IPL 2022. Reports tell that MS Dhoni has made it very clear to the CSK management that they cannot lose Ravindra Jadeja at any cost.

The Yellow Army has released Dwayne Bravo from his IPL contract. Dwayne Bravo had a decent run in IPL 2022 as he scalped 16 wickets in 10 matches. He struggled with the bat and managed 23 runs. Ambati Rayudu, who only managed 274 runs in IPL 2022, has been retained. The senior batsman had announced his retirement during the season. He took a U-turn and continued to play for the MS Dhoni-led side.

Apart from Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan is another prominent player to be released by CSK. The franchise had spent a huge sum of Rs 3.6 crore on him but he disappointed. Since Robin Uthappa retired from IPL, he was always going to be on the list of released players. Adam Milne will be back in the IPL 2023 auction pool along with Hari Nishaanth, Bhagath Varma, KM Asif, and Narayan Jagadeesan.
