IPL Auction 2023: The IPL Auction Panel For Star Sports Will Include Irfan Pathan, Ian Bishop, Tom Moody, and Aaron Finch

The forthcoming IPL 2023 player auction will take place in Kochi on Friday afternoon, and the panellists for Star Sports are Ian Bishop, Tom Moody, Aaron Finch, Simon Katich, and Irfan Pathan. The IPL 2023 player auction will be aired on the network in five languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Along with Mayanti Langer, Bishop, Moody, Finch, and Katich—all of whom have experience with the IPL in broadcasting, playing, and coaching capacities—will be present for the English stream.

In the Hindi stream, Pathan, a former left-arm bowler for India who had previously played for six IPL clubs, will discuss auction tactics and player recruiting with Aakash Chopra, Amol Mazumdar, and Jatin Sapru.

“Tom Moody and Simon Katich, who were crucial members during the auction strategy of various IPL teams and Aaron Finch, one of the most decorated cricketers in Australia, who has represented a record nine IPL franchises in his career,” said a Star Sports spokesperson in an official release.

MSK Prasad To Appear On Telugu Channel Of Star Sports To Cover IPL Auction

Lakshmipathy Balaji, Sadagoppan Ramesh, and Subramaniam Badrinath will appear on the Tamil broadcast, while Venugopal Rao, MSK Prasad, and Ashish Reddy will appear on the Telugu channel. Vijay Bharadwaj, Srinivas Murthy, & Balachandra Akhil will be featured on the Kannada feed.

For INR 23,575 crore earlier this year, Star India secured TV rights for the IPL seasons 2023–2027 in the Indian subcontinent. IPL TV rights have been in their possession from the 2017–22 season. In September 2017, their winning offer of INR 16,347.50 crore covered both TV and digital.
