Chennai Super Kings, on Sunday (April 23), continued their stunning performance with the bat in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The MS Dhoni-led side came up with yet another brilliant performance to post a huge total of 235 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs.

It was their third 200-plus total in only 7 matches this season. Asked to bat first, Chennai Super Kings were off to a solid start thanks to their in-form openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. The duo added 73 runs for the first wicket in less than overs to lay the foundation for the big total.

After the start, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube took charge of the innings. Both of them went on to smash whirlwind fifties to help Chennai Super Kings score their highest score of the season and their third-highest IPL total of all time.

Dube smashed a 20-ball 5o with the help of 2 fours and 5 sixes. Rahane, on the other hand, remained unbeaten on 71 off just 29 balls. The right-handed batsman smashed 6 fours and 5 sixes. Apart from Rahane and Dube, Conway scored a fifty too. The New Zealand star scored 56 off 40 balls while his fellow opener Gaikwad scored 35.
