Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) fielding coach Jonty Rhodes surprisingly was seen assisting the ground staff as there was pelting down at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Jonty Rhodes looked quite enthusiastic and grabbed everyone’s attention. The contest between LSG & Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was delayed by 15 minutes due to rain.

CSK skipper MS Dhoni won the toss & opted to bowl first. The pitch was quite a minefield for the batters. CSK had reduced LSG to 44-5 in 9.4 overs the trio Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja & Maheesh Theekshana spurned a web across the batters.

LSG’s stand in skipper Krunal Pandya had a forgettable outing as he was dismissed on the very first ball by Maheesh Theekshana. There was an uneven bounce in the track as batters looked quite clueless as MS Dhoni was spot on with his field placings.

LSG’s score was 125-7 in 19.2 overs when the rain intervened and there was a long delay in the match. At one point the covers were peeled off and umpires made their way to the middle to have a chat with the ground staff.

However, after a moment the rain again started and the covers were back on the field. LSG’s fielding coach Jonty Rhodes came to the ground and was seen helping the ground staff. Jonty Rhodes when he was a part of MI’s coaching setup used to assist the staff which undoubtedly shows his passion for the game
