LSG vs GT: “Brainless From Lucknow” - Venkatesh Prasad Slams KL Rahul-Led Side For Their Loss Against GT

Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad has lashed out at the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for their poor show in the 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that it was baffling batting from their end as they had the game in their hands and it was a brainless thing from them.
Lucknow Super Giants suffered a horrendous loss against Gujarat Titans in their recent game of the IPL 2023. It was a game that they had in their hands for most of the time but they displayed a poor batting performance and lost the game.

Skipper KL Rahul looked good to the eyes and scored a half-century. He had a brilliant partnership with Krunal Pandya but after that, they lost wickets in clusters. However, still they were favorites to win the game as they needed 30 runs in 35 balls.

But GT bowled brilliantly and held their nerves and made LSG batters toil hard. It’s fair to say that Skipper KL Rahul’s slow knock was the main reason behind it as he scored 68 runs in 61 balls but failed to take his side home as they suffered the 7-run loss.
Mohit Sharma bowled a brilliant 20th over as he put the opposition under pressure and snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat.
Venkatesh Prasad was left amazed by how LSG lost the game and called it baffling and brainless batting. Taking to his Twitter account, he said:
“Bottling a run chase when 30 needed of 35 balls with 9 wickets in hand requires some baffling batting. Happened with Punjab in 2020 on few occasions losing games they should have won easily. As brilliant as Guj were with ball & Hardik smart with his captaincy, brainless from Lko.”

LSG vs GT: “I can’t put a finger on where it went wrong, but we lost 2 points today,” says KL Rahul
Skipper KL Rahul opened up about the loss. He said that they have to take it on the chin but can’t point fingers where it went wrong. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:
“I don’t know how it happened, but it has happened. I can’t put a finger on where it went wrong, but we lost 2 points today, this is cricket. I thought we were brilliant with the ball, 135 was 10 runs under par, the bowling was exceptional, we started well with the bat, but these things happen, we’ll have to take it on the chin.”
LSG will next be seen in action when they will take on Punjab Kings in their next game on Friday (28th April).
