Suryakumar Yadav’s knock also helped his team to grab victory against the defending champions Gujarat Titans, who have showcased a strong show in IPL 2023 as well. Yadav has shattered many wonderful knocks in IPL but this was his first century in the tournament.

Suryakumar Yadav is Not A Star, But A Superstar: Aakash Chopra

While speaking about the MI vs GT clash of IPL 2023 on his Youtube Channel, Aakash Chopra heaped praises on Suryakumar Yadav for his impeccable knock in the match. He said that Yadav is not a star, but a superstar.

“Surya’s shine and glory are different. Clouds can cover it for some time but no one can cover Surya for long. We were told the sun is a star, but Surya is not a star, Surya is a superstar.” Aakash Chopra said.

Chopra also said that Yadav the fashion in which Yadav scored his century was sensational.

“The first IPL century has come from his bat and in what fashion it came. Whenever he scores a century, it will come in this fashion only. When he plays, he plays differently. He has been absolutely sensational,” the commentator further said.

With Yadav’s astonishing knock, Mumbai Indians piled up 218-5 in 20 overs. Later, MI restricted GT to 191-8, winning the game by 27 runs. Rashid Khan scored a wonderful knock of unbeaten 79 runs for GT but failed to grab victory for his team.
