Punjab Kings (PBKS) are all set to clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) on 13th April (*Thursday). PBKS had a forgettable outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as they were outplayed in all the 3 facets of the game. Liam Livingstone has joined the PBKS squad. He would be keen to make a mark in IPL 2023. Liam Livingstone not only can smash lusty blows but also break partnerships.

PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan is in sublime form & is the current orange cap holder having scored 225 runs in 3 matches. Shikhar Dhawan has lacked support from the rest of the batters, we witnessed how he scored 99 runs in 66 balls when the team was in deep trouble.

GT on the other side would be crestfallen after their heart-wrenching defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It would be interesting to see whether Hardik Pandya leads the side after missing the game against KKR due to illness.

GT’s stand-in skipper Rashid Khan took a hat-trick in the thriller against KKR. GT perhaps might bring another spinner in the form of Sai Kishore who can frustrate the batters with the variations. GT would be hoping that the batters’ accelerate in the middle overs.

It looks like the template for PBKS is going to be the same, the skipper Shikhar Dhawan has to bat throughout the innings but that’s quite risky. The likes of dashing all-rounder Sam Curran needs to bat a bit more responsibly in the middle overs.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) took to Twitter to announce the arrival of Liam Livingstone. Liam Livingstone will likely be available for selection against Gujarat Titans (GT). Liam Livingstone’s inclusion can do wonders for the team whose middle order is quite fragile.

PBKS would be hoping that the likes of Sikandar Raza fire & play an impactful knock in crunch situations. It would be quite tough for GT to make a comeback after losing the match quite narrowly as we can expect a cracker of a contest.
