The 5-time IPL winners MI are all set to lock horns with RCB on 2nd April at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Skipper Rohit Sharma would be keen to make a statement that he is not done yet in the shortest format. Rohit Sharma had a scratchy IPL 2022 where he scored 268 runs in 14 matches.

RCB don’t have a great track record at their home ground. All eyes would be on Virat Kohli as the batter has had a terrific last 6 months & has dominated the terms. The all-rounder Michael Bracewell could be the ‘X’ factor for RCB where he has shown sheer hitting ability & can be used as a floater.

Rohit Sharma is fit & is 100 per cent ready to go – Mark Boucher

Mark Boucher was seen attending the press conference and spoke about Rohit Sharma. Mark Boucher made it clear that Rohit would take part against RCB & stated that he has trained & gave the reason behind his absence in the photo shoot of IPL captains.

“Yes, Rohit is fit. He has trained the last two days and is 100 per cent ready to go. I think he didn’t feel particularly well that morning and just as a precaution, we told him to stay at home. There are a lot of photo shoots the boys have had to do. He’s not had a lot of time to himself so we thought it was better,” said Mark Boucher.

Mark Boucher confirmed that Jofra Archer is going to play against RCB. Mark Boucher was quite happy with the way Jofra Archer has been performing in the training sessions. Mark Boucher was quite optimistic ahead of the IPL 2023 & pointed out that the team needs to start well.

“Jofra Archer is good, he is 100 per cent ready for tomorrow. He didn’t train today, it was an optional training session. He felt that he was ready to put the spikes on tomorrow. We are very happy with his progression since he has been with us. He’ll be playing tomorrow,” said Mark Boucher.

“I can’t comment too much about last year I wasn’t there. But we have spoken about it, some new talents in the team, new energy, some guys who have done really well in the previous IPLs. They understand that last year we didn’t have a good season but things can change very quickly, energies have been good, we are in a good space,” he stated.

“If we get off to good start great, if we don’t we’ll definitely not panic. The IPL is not won in April or March, it’s won in May. Hopefully, we can get a good start and get some momentum,” he added
