Ravindra Jadeja, the dashing all-rounder would be relieved after CSK not releasing him from the squad. Earlier, there were reports that CSK may part ways with Jadeja as the flamboyant all-rounder had a below-par season. He played 10 matches where he took 5 wickets and scored 116 runs.
It won’t be wrong to say that captaincy affected his game as from nowhere he was made the captain of the team. The left-arm-off spinner later quit the leadership role. Jadeja has been one of the mainstays of the team as he is someone who can contribute in all the 3 facets of the match.

Jadeja who is in his mid-30s would be well aware of the fact that he has a point to prove. The all-rounder currently is nursing an injury due to which he was not a part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. It would be interesting to see whether he gets an automatic entry into the playing 11 as his previous season was a forgettable one, and at the same time making a comeback from injury is never easy, CSK had a terrible season where they finished at 9th position where they were outplayed in all the 3 departments of the match.
Skipper MS Dhoni have earlier had mentioned that he would like to play at his home ground Chennai before signing off. The legendary batter would be aiming to finish on a high as CSK now has 4 titles to their name and are behind Mumbai Indians (MI) who has won 5 titles.
