Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Brian Lara credited pacer T Natarajan for his sensational performance in the 40th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Delhi Capitals. He tipped his hat off and said that the left-arm pacer was the unsung hero for them.
SRH defeated DC by 9 runs to end their five-match losing streak against them. It was a brilliant batting performance from Abhishek Sharma (67) and Heinrich Klaasen (53*) that helped them put a mammoth total of 197 runs on the board.

However, SRH chipped in with wickets in the middle and turned the game in their favour. But at the death, they needed something sensational and T Natarajan did exactly that. He bowled two staggering overs and returned with the figure of 1/34 to win the game for his side.

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Aiden Markram was impressed with the collective effort of his teammates. He said that win will give them great confidence heading into the tournament. Speaking at the post-match presentation.
“Great team effort, good to see the guys show good skills and character. I don’t mind getting things wrong if the approach is right. It helps to see such performances, the guys will see that results are there to be had. Credit to the way the team has responded. Klassy has been in great form, and Abhishek did the hard work early on,” he said.
Klassy backs himself to play that way, good to see it pay off. We needed wickets to get back in the game, the two were doing well and it needed a special catch from Mayank.
