Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh praised Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Harry Brook for his brilliant century against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Harbhajan Singh’s statement about the young batter came before Sunrisers Hyderabad’s match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday, April 18.
Harry Brook failed to make an impact in the first three matches of the ongoing edition of the IPL. The England batter scored 29 runs in the first three innings with a dismal average of 9.6 and a strike rate of 74.36. However, the right-handed batter made a brilliant comeback with an unbeaten century of 100 runs off 55 balls in the Sunrisers’ 23-run win over the Knight Riders.

Speaking on Star Sports Cricket Live, Harbhajan Singh highlighted that Harry Brook has a weakness against spinners, but he rotates strike to hide it. Harbhajan also said that Brook attacks the pacer by smashing the poor balls to the boundaries.
“Brook plays fast bowling well. He has an array of shots in his batting repertoire against fast bowlers. Although he isn’t very strong against spin, he hides his weakness by taking singles and doubles,” Harbhajan Singh said.
“Whenever he gets a chance, he hits the weak balls from the pacers for boundaries. Also, he is getting good support from other SRH batsmen. This will give him a lot of confidence going forward,” he added.

We’ll See That Old Mumbai Indians – Mohammad Kaif
Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif hopes that the Mumbai Indians can perform at their best against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, continuing their form from the last two matches.
“Hopefully, we’ll see that old Mumbai Indians side against Sunrisers Hyderabad. MI of the old was known for its aggressive batting performances and the last two games were a testimony to that,” Kaif told Star Sports.
The Rohit Sharma-led team started the season with back-to-back losses in the first two matches. However, they bounced back to win the last two matches. The Mumbai Indians are in 8th place on the 10-team points table with four points.
