“He played some important innings last year” – Joe Root Lauds Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag was also praised by Root, who described him as mature for his age and that he was looking forward to getting to know the franchise and its followers this season. In the mini-auction conducted in Kochi, RR purchased Root for his basic price of Rs 1 crore in preparation for his inaugural IPL season.
“Riyan Parag played some important innings last year at a very young age, but I think he is quite mature as a player. It’s going to be a very special year with the fact that the Royals are coming back to Jaipur and connecting with the fans and the city again. We’re looking forward to embracing that atmosphere and being a part of it,” said Joe Root.
