Cameron Green smashed a brilliant century in the first innings of the ongoing first Test between Australia and New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. After the end of the first day’s play, Australia is 279/9 with Cameron Green unbeaten at 103 off 155 deliveries which includes 16 fours. He is the only Australian batter to cross the 50-run mark for Australia in the first innings. RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is impressed with Cameron Green’s performance in the Test match against New Zealand.

Cameron Green had a decent season with the Mumbai Indians in 2023 where he scored a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Cameron Green scored 452 runs in 16 matches during his debut season at the IPL for Mumbai Indians where he smashed two half-centuries and a century at an average of 50.22 and a strike rate of 160.28. However, his bowling performance was not at par as he took only six wickets in 16 games and had an economy of 9.5.

Cameron Green was traded to the Royal Challengers Bangalore from Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL auctions and he will represent RCB in the IPL 2024. He will be the second all-rounder from Australia who will be representing RCB this season with Glenn Maxwell already present in the squad. Green has represented Australia in eight T20Is where he has scored 139 runs at an average of 17.38 but a good strike rate of 173.75 which includes two half-centuries. He can be a valuable addition to the RCB squad and can fill the void of an all-rounder.

Dinesh Karthik uploaded a video on his ‘X’ platform where he could be seen watching Cameron Green getting his century against New Zealand. He is now eager to see the Australian all-rounder perform in reds as he said, ” Well played Green! Can’t wait to see you play in Red.” A player like Cameron Green can strengthen RCB’s weak middle order and can also be handy with the ball.

Cameron Green will start his innings at 103 tomorrow morning and will hope to add as many runs as he can with only a wicket left in the Australian innings. If he can cross the 300-run mark it will be very beneficial for the Australian line-up. He is a great player and will be a good addition to the RCB squad. Green is also a right-arm medium pacer who can bowl well alongside some power-hitting. Royal Challengers Bangalore are hoping to win their maiden IPL title and they are optimistic to achieve the goal with the squad they have.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is scheduled to start on March 22 and Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their first game in the tournament opener against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings. It will be a battle between two of the greatest Indian players; Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. The two teams will start the proceedings of the IPL 2024 which will conclude at the end of May followed right by the T20 World Cup.
