They have roped in the likes of Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Mustafizur Rahman, and a certain Sameer Rizvi who is touted to be the next Suresh Raina. He made a name for himself playing a few impactful knocks in the SMAT. His 75 off 46 balls to help UP win over Tamil Nadu stood out with the southern team having Varun Chakravarthy, R Sai Kishore, and Washington Sundar in their ranks.

The two teams have played 31 matches in the IPL overall with Chennai Super Kings winning 20 matches while the Royal Challengers Bangalore 10. CSK have won four of the last five games between the two sides. CSk have dominated RCB at the Chepauk winning seven games to just one by RCB.
