How has MS Dhoni behaved with new CSK players in IPL 2024? Rachin Ravindra reveals

Rachin Ravindra made his debut in IPL 2024 with the recent CSK vs RCB encounter. The Kiwi batter is part of Chennai Super Kings in the league. After his IPL debut, Rachin Ravindra has opened up on his experience of sharing the stage with CSK legend MS Dhoni.

Batting as an opener, the 24-year-old batter slammed quickfire 37 runs off 15 balls to give a blistering start to the team. He slammed 3 fours and 3 sixes during his knock, driving the scoreboard to 62 runs in the powerplay overs.

MS Dhoni is part of CSK in IPL 2024. He had handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad after leading the side since the debut season in 2008. However, MS Dhoni is helping Gaikwad in the leadership duties with his experience.

MS Dhoni’s influence is inspiring: Rachin Ravindra

CSK newcomer Rachin Ravindra shared his experience with MS Dhoni after his maiden game in IPL 2024. Ravindra feels Dhoni’s fanfare and craze are pretty special and his influence is inspiring.

“I think whenever Mahi bhai is involved in some sort of play, you know, the crowd goes crazy and I was able to experience it for the first time, the fanfare & craze – it’s pretty special, the influence he has is inspiring”, Ravindra was quoted as saying by TOI.

Sharing the stage with MS Dhoni is insane: Rachin

The New Zealand all-rounder also added that sharing the dressing room with someone like MS Dhoni is insane.

“To be able to share the dressing room with someone like MS is insane. I think we all know what he’s achieved, not just for Chennai but also for India, too, and the type of aura he carries and everything. But I think the best thing about him is he is so calm and down to earth like you wouldn’t know, he achieved all he has”, Ravindra further said.

Ravindra also feels the former CSK skipper is a great role model and a leader in the dressing room.

“It just shows the type of person he is and he is a great role model for that because no matter what you achieve on the cricket field, you spend most of your time off it. So, he’s worked it out pretty well and he’s a great leader here in the dressing room,” the CSK opener concluded.

CSK crushed RCB by 6 wickets

Meanwhile, CSK crushed RCB in IPL 2024 opener by 6 wickets. CSK successfully chased down a 174-run target in the match in the 19th over with unbeaten knocks by Ravindra Jadeja (25*) and Shivam Dube (34*) down the order. They will clash with Gujarat Titans in their next encounter on Tuesday, March 26.
