Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have faced an injury scare in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans (GT). Pace sensation Mayank Yadav walked off the field with some discomfort in the 21st game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Mayak Yadav, who has been breathing fire in the ongoing IPL 2024, didn't look in great shape in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans. The fast bowler came into the attack in the 4th over the second innings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow and seemed to struggling.

Mayank Yadav, who has been consistently clicking 155 kmph in the ongoing IPL 2024, looked down with pace as well. The fast bowler clocked between 137 and 140 kmph, which raised quite a eyebrows. He also wasn't spot on with his lines and lengths as he exceeded three boundaries.

To worsen the case for the Lucknow Super Giants, Mayank Yadav then walked off the field. The physios were there too and they took him out of the park along with them. Things didn't look great for him, especially with him struggling to bowl deliveries over 150 kmph.

Commentators then on-air mentioned that Mayank Yadav suffered a side strain, which was why he left the field. There's no certainty if he will be back in the field to bowl for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Lucknow Super Giants management would be hoping that things aren't serious. Mayank Yadav has been a trump card for the skipper KL Rahul in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The fast bowler in the last two games has completely tilted the game in his side's over with his fiery pace.

Mayank Yadav made his debut against Punjab Kings and made an immediate impact as returned with the figures of 3/27 and won Man of the Match on his debut. He then produced an even better performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He registered the figures of 3/14, winning another Man of the Match.

Coming to the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, the KL Rahul-led side posted a total of 163 runs on the board. Marcus Stonis (58) slammed a vital half-century in the middle whereas Nicholas Pooran (32*) finished the innings on high.

Lucknow Super Giants turn things around with the ball

Defending the target, Lucknow Super Giants didn't have a great start as Sai Sudharsan (31) and Shubman Gill (19) batted well for their team at the start. The duo added 54 runs for the opening partnership and put the home team under pressure.

But after that, Lucknow Super Giants pulled back the things incredibly well. Yash Thakur drew the first blood for his team as he removed Shubman Gill. After that, Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya spun the web around the batters and left the opposition tottering at 61/4. They now would be hoping to wrap things up pretty quickly and win the game.
