MI piled up 235 against Delhi Capitals as their batting finally clicked at home. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan finally got some crucial runs with the bat with big-hitters like Tim David and Romario Shepherd finishing with quickfire cameos.

The bowling also clicked in the game with Gerald Coetzee and Jasprit Bumrah picking up wickets. Going ahead in the tournament the senior players of Mumbai need to stand up. Rohit Sharma will be key at the top and his partnerships with Ishan Kishan will be crucial.

SKY scored a duck on his return game but is expected to come back to form in the next game. Hardik Pandya's captaincy will continue to be monitored as he has bee already spoken a lot about it and he did not start it on a good note.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

It has been the same old story for RCB. They are heavily relied on Virat Kohli to give them consistent starts. The likes of Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell also have not hit form. Cameron Green seems to have lost his all-round ability since joining RCB.

They lack bowling depth. The pace attack consists of no stand-out names. There are also no reputed Indian or overseas spinners in their ranks. Overall, there is a lack of depth both in their batting and bowling departments. They have lost all their away games so far and they need a rejig to start winning. Vijaykumar Vyshak can be a good addition to the side who proved that he can handle himself in tough situations.

RCB Squad

Faf du Plessis (c), Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Suyash Prabhudessai, Will Jacks, Mahipal Lomror, Karn Sharma, Manoj Bhandage, Mayank Dagar, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Rajan Kumar, Cameron Green, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, Swapnil Singh, Saurav Chauhan.

MI vs RCB Key Battles

Virat Kohli vs Jasprit Bumrah

Kohli was Bumrah's first IPL wicket and since then these two star players have been involved in some terrific battles. Overall, Kohli has scored 140 runs against the lead Indian pacer while he has dismissed him four times.

Rohit Sharma vs Mohd Siraj

Rohit has problems against the moving ball early on in his innings. Mohammed Siraj can pose problems for him if he gets the ball to swing early on in Mumbai. His weakness outside the off stump was figured out by Trent Boult previously.

MI vs RCB Key Players

For MI, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd are key with the bat. With the ball, there is the ever-dependable Jasperit Bumrah. Along with him, Gerald Coetzee and Piyush Chawla are key.

On the current form for RCB, Virat Kohli is key while Faf and Maxwell need to step up. With the ball, Reece Topley, and Mohd Siraj will be key.

MI vs RCB Weather Report and Pitch Report

The weather will be around 27 degrees in the evening with cloudy skies and there will be plenty of humidity. Dew will play a key factor in this game. There is no rain threat.

The Wankhede pitch has always been a batting-friendly one, MI posed 235 in the very first game of the season at the venue. Scores of over 200 have been regularly posted at this venue. This is known to be a chasing ground.

Conclusion

MI who finally came back to winning ways at home will look to build on the win with another dominating performance against RCB. The visitors are struggling with team combination and the big-match players not stepping up. As a side, they are looking to avoid their fourth defeat on the trot.
