He lauded Bumrah for his sensational bowling display as well as Hardik for finishing the game in style against the RCB. Tendulkar was also hauled to Suryakumar for making a significant impact with the bat despite returning from an injury layoff.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote on X: “Two wins on the trot now for @mipaltan after a tricky start to the tournament. @Jaspritbumrah93 was sensational, once again proving why he's the best in the business. @ImRo45 and @ishankishan51's fearless batting during the powerplay overs effectively reduced the required run rate.”

The Master Blaster added, “It was good to see @surya_14kumar hitting the ball so sweetly after his injury layoff. Lovely to have him back in the team, playing in top gear. @hardikpandya7 finishing the game off in style was the icing on the cake.”

MI won the one-sided affair against RCB

Speaking about the MI vs RCB game, the Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium, and it proved a game-changer for them. Jasprit Bumrah (5/21) was at his best as the MI restricted RCB to 196/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

For the RCB, Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis (61), Dinesh Karthik (53*), and Rajat Patidar (50) all scored the fifties to take the team’s total to 196/8, but then their bowlers yet again failed to deliver and defend the massive total.

From the start, MI openers Ishan Kishan (69 runs off 34 balls) and Rohit Sharma (38 runs off 24 balls) went berserk at the RCB bowlers in the 25th game of the tournament.

Then, Suryakumar Yadav displayed his dangerous form in his second game, scoring 52 runs off just 19 balls laced with five fours and four sixes against the RCB.

Well, Pandya also did a brilliant job by hammering an unbeaten 21 runs off six balls to help MI chase down the target inside 16 overs against RCB. With this win, MI jumped to the 6th spot in the IPL 2024 points table.
