Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag lashed out at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for their poor campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He opined that the majority of local Indian players at RCB don't understand English and the team management, which consists of the overseas coaches won't be able to motivate them.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are having a torrid time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They have looked completely clueless in the tournament and it's fair to say that their chances to qualify for the playoffs are second to none now, especially with competition at the top.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are reeling at the bottom of the table and faced five straight losses in the league. The Faf du Plessis-led have managed just one win in the tournament so far in the 7 games and are looking completely down on confidence as well.

In their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a thrashing. Their bowling attack looked clueless against the brutal batting lineup of Orange Army, who registered the highest-ever total in the IPL, posting 287 runs on the board.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru tried their best with the bat and got 262 runs but it's fair to say that since the start of the game, they didn't look favourites. One of the major reasons behind the downfall of the team is most of their batters are out of form and they are struggling to get going with the ball as well.

Virender Sehwag pointed out that there is a lack of communication in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team. He questioned the franchise related to how foreign coaches motivate the young Indian players, who don't understand English. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:

"If you have 12-15 Indian players, just 10 overseas and your entire staff is made of foreigners, that's an issue. Only a few of them are international players, the rest are all Indians and half of them don't even understand English. How will you motivate them?

"Who spends time with them? Who talks to them? I can't see a single Indian staff member. At least there should be someone who the players can confide in."

From the auction table to the management, there are problems- Manoj Tiwary on Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Manoj Tiwary, who was also present during the discussion, also lashed out at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, saying that the franchise has a lot of problems from the auction table to the management. He stressed how they let go of some match winners. He stated:

"I know where the problem is. From the auction table to the management. All the good players of this franchise leave to go and play for other teams. One of them is the leading wicket-taker this season [Yuzvendra Chahall. You let them go.You don't persist with Virat Kohli's captaincy. led them to the 2016 final."

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be next seen in action when they will take on Kolkata Knight Riders on 21st April at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
